CONTEST INFORMATION
Contestants must complete the on-line contest application prior to the deadline for that contest year.
Contestants in SW states with a state M/s feeder contest must compete in and win that contest to be eligible to compete in the SW contest.
Current Authorized Exclusive SW Region State Feeder Contests:
-
Colorado
Contestants in SW states that do not have a state feeder may apply directly to compete in the SW contest as a contestant at-large.
Contestants should read and become familiar with the information contained in the SW M/s Contest Handbook. Please make sure you have the handbook for the current year, as rule and process changes may be made each year.
Contestants are responsible for their own travel and expenses to compete in the SW M/s Contest. Contestants may recruit sponsors or other donations to help with their expenses, or utilize a travel fund from the state feeder, if one exists.
Contestants are required to bring items/certificates or a collection (basket) of items/certificates to be auctioned off during the contest weekend.
Contestants may, if they wish, submit more than one collection but do note that two lower value collections are usually more popular and bring in more funds than one large collection.
Auction items must be dropped off on Friday between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm.
The monies from all the silent auction items go into the Southwest Master/slave contest winner's travel fund. (see details in the Contest Handbook}
